Jerry is preceded in death by his first wife, Venitia Jenkins, second wife, Patsy Jenkins, sons John Jenkins, Jayme Swafford, and Eddie Mack Cowley, daughter Jackie Simon, and sister, Patricia Husband.
He is survived by children Donna Kay Oldham, Mike Swafford, and Tamra Copeland, and granddaughter Brooke Schwartz and numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as his best friend and companion, Pat Tidball.
Jerry graduated from military school and served in the United States Air Force. He worked in the family bowling alley business and later had a career with the U.S. Post office and Southwestern roofing. Jerry enjoyed fishing, especially for crappie and jug lines. He was happy watching all sports and loved his home state teams, OU, OSU and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Jerry was a great dancer and would always agree to play a game of cards, dominoes, or pool. He will be greatly missed.
Note: His biological mother was Florence Louise Neptune Jenkins. His parents divorced when he was 3 years old in 1940. His father remarried one year later, and Jerry was primarily raised by his father and stepmother Jane.
