Sharon was born to Elmer Lee and Jessie Faye (Blood) Cooksey on July 13, 1950 in Norman. She graduated from Kiowa High School in 1968.
Sharon married Frank L. Taylor on January 16, 1969 in Collinsville, Oklahoma.
After rearing her children, she accomplished going to Easter Oklahoma State College in Wilburton, graduating with an accountant assistance degree in May 2006. Sharon enjoyed working for Walter Bethune, CPA until her health issues forced her to retire.
Sharon loved everyone and was always ready to go for a trip. She was a member of General Assembly Church of the First Born.
She is survived by her husband: Frank Taylor of McAlester; daughter: Roxann Hale of Tulsa; son: Roland and wife, Sheri of Yanush; granddaughters: Amber Hankins and husband, Duane, Rebecca Hall, Jessica Taylor, Sarah Taylor and fiancé, Dakota Burns; grandsons: Cody Kilgore and Johnathan Taylor; great-grandchildren: Nevaeh Penefield and Emma Taylor; sister: Veronice Sexton; brothers: Roger Cooksey and wife, Laura, John Cooksey and wife, Connie; aunt: Irene Yates; brother-in-law: Leonard Taylor and wife, Eollen; sister-in-law: Vanelle Wilson; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
