He was born March 12, 1939 in Wolf Island, Missouri, son of the late Harry Linebaugh and Ruth Helen Baker Linebaugh.
David was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had worked for Ellis Station in East Prairie, Missouri before retiring.
On February 15, 1962 he married Margie Cobb Linebaugh, who survives of the home in Benton.
Other survivors include two sons, Paul David (Rhonda) Linebaugh and Harry Gene (Carla) Linebaugh all of Benton; one daughter, Margie Diane Linebaugh (Todd) Bell of Midway, Texas; 17 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra Kay Graham; two brothers; and three sisters.
There will be a memorial service held Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie with full military honors.
