She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Clair Craighead; and sister Peggy Bernhardt.
Diane is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Anderson; her children, Gerald McNeil (Barbie), Georgia Holbrook (Ron), Andra McKahan (Thomas), and Andrew Jackson; her step-sons, Robert Anderson (Heidi) and Dave Anderson (Kim); eleven grandchildren, Shaun, Daniel, Joseph, Christopher, Misty, Jessica, Konor, Sage, Kylie, Logan, and Janse; eleven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved fur-baby Chou.
Diane obtained a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Pikeville College in Pikeville, KY in May of 1978. She spent many years teaching Special Education classes and working with troubled youth in Kentucky and Wisconsin. Diane later transitioned into a career in real estate in the Twin Cities Metro area, Minnesota. She retired as a broker and manager for Acorn Realty, Somerset, Wisconsin.
Diane was of Christian faith and enjoyed attending her neighborhood parish at Stella Maris Catholic Church, Lamar, TX. She enjoyed many fond memories and good times with the ladies at Lamar Womens Club. Diane treasured every conversation with her grandchildren and many good friends. She was an avid outdoorsman, participating in many hunting and fishing excursions with her husband, brother-in-law, stepsons, and son. Diane was affectionately known as the "Turkey Grandma" by her granddaughters, Sage and Kylie.
A graveside service is being held at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Baraboo, WI at a later date.
