Larry F. Haun, May 6, 1931 - October 24, 2011 Larry Haun was born on May 6, 1931 in Harrisburg, Nebraska, son of Henry and Elizabeth Haun. He was a resident of Los Angeles for over 30 years. He moved to Coos Bay in 1996 to retire. He died on October 24, 2011 after a long battle with lymphoma. In 1968 he married Renee Carey and had two children Eric and Risa. In 1983 he married Mila Marcelo with three children, Dario, Sarita and Ninay. He was a gardener, writer, builder, teacher, meditator, traveler and liked to take naps. Aside from being a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, he also authored the book "How to Build a House," proceeds of which he donated back to Habitat for Humanity. He also wrote three other books, the final one was published this year entitled "A Carpenter's Life: as told by houses". He was survived by his wife of 29 years, five children, two brothers, one sister and a dog. A celebration of life gathering for Larry Haun, 80, of Coos Bay, OR will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, December 17, 2011 at the Echo Park United Methodist Church located at 1226 N. Alvarado St., Los Angeles, CA. 90026.
