He was a son of Willie Faulkenberry and Lois Roberts Faulkenberry. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the DuPont Co. and was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nancy Alice Catoe Faulkenberry; three brothers, James Faulkenberry, Manly Faulkenberry and Fred Faulkenberry; and four sisters, Louise Phillips, Ruth Bradley, Frances Raymond and Annie Mae Jones. He is survived by his children, Chucky Faulkenberry, Roger Faulkenberry and Melissa F (Roddy) Bowers; three grandchildren, Ashley B (Dakota Campbell) Bowers, J P Faulkenberry and Brandon Bowers; two great grandchildren, Bryce Fletcher and Corbin Schram.
