Colleen was born July 5, 1935, in Montgomery, Indiana, to Ernest and Estella(Clements)Hudson. She is preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Hudson.
Colleen graduated from Montgomery High School and worked for Farm Bureau Co-op for over 25 years.
In 1978 she married William F. Key and they were happily together until his death in 2005. They retired together to Petersburg, Indiana, and then Jasper, Indiana. In both places Colleen was an avid quilter, a member of the Red Hat Club, a regular bridge player, and an active volunteer in many community and church groups.
Colleen is survived by her loving family; her cousins, Judy Riney, Kim(Jim)Killion, Randy (Stephanie)Riney; her nieces, Becky VanFleet and Melinda Madden; nephew, Tim Hudson; her step-niece, Phyllis(Jim)Jones; stepchildren, Suzanne(Mark)Colvin, and Michael(Susan)Key; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Colleen is preceded in death by her husband, William Key; and her stepdaughter, Teresa Sartin.
Friends may visit with Colleen's family from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, April 8, 2021, at Goodwin -Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State St., Washington, IN 47501. Colleen's funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home, with Yvonne Evans officiating.
Colleen will be laid to rest in St. Peter Cemetery in Montgomery.
