Bill Michael "Mike" Baker, 72, of Lowell, Ohio, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Riverside Hospital, Columbus, from cardiac arrest, two days after back surgery. He was born November 15, 1948, in Marietta, Ohio, to Wilbur C. and Alice K. Eger Baker.

On February 28, 1976, he married Dee Ann Lorentz Baker, who survives along with two daughters, Cassie Augenstein of Lowell and Crystel (Jason) Davis of Bellbrook, Ohio. His four grandsons, Caleb Augenstein and Kale, Hanley and Bram Davis, were his pride and joy.

He is also survived by a brother John (Shirley) Baker of Lowell, a sister Cheryl (Robert) Kiggans of Rockledge, Florida, and one niece and three nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother David "Tiny" Baker and a sister Carla Baker.

Bill was a 1966 Fort Frye High School graduate and was proud to be a union Operating Engineer through Local 18 for over 40 years, having retired in 2008. In his last working years he had been employed by Pioneer Pipe and Washington Group at Eramet and by Fluor Corp. at the Waterford power station.

Per his wishes, he was cremated with his ashes to be spread in the woods where he enjoyed spending his time. There will be no visitation or services.
