Mary Jean "Tommy" Putnam left this earth on March 24, 2021 at the age of 91. She was born in Klamath Falls, Ore. July 15, 1929 to Cecil and Vera (Vande Carr) Stuart. She met Leonard R. Putnam in 1942 and they were later married on Sept. 7, 1947. Tommy earned her nickname at an early age as she was quite capable of giving the boys a run for their money in sports. Throughout her life she was very supportive of Leonard and her children as family always came first. She helped organize the 1968 Babe Ruth World Series and the 1970 American Legion Baseball National Championships, both held in the Klamath Basin. She was one of the founders of the Klamath Falls Snowflake Festival. In their later years, she and Leonard enjoyed traveling together and they loved to snowbird in Palm Springs.

Tommy is survived by Gary (Laura), Sandi (Steve), Bill (LeAnn), seven grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren as well as close family friend Sandy Thomas.
