Priscilla Adkins Honeycutt, age 63, of Green Mountain, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 4th, 2021 at Mission Hospital. A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Ruth Howell Adkins. She was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Larry Peterson. Priscilla was a wonderful housewife and enjoyed shopping. She was a loving wife and sister who adored her family.
Surviving is her loving husband of 44 years, Donald Honeycutt; sisters: Burdella Edwards (Mike) of Erwin, TN, Yvonne Adkins Peterson of Green Mountain, Mary Fouladi (Moe) of Newport Beach, CA, Felicia Hope Honeycutt (Tony) of Green Mountain and Teresa Ann Banks of Burnsville; two brothers: Weldon Adkins and EJ Adkins and a special great-niece, Karleigh Duncan. Several other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 8th in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Services. Rev. Marvin Hensley and Rev. Todd Robinson will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Adkins Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Brannigan, Vance, David, Dalton, Malachi, Lane, Josh and Zeb.
