Marilyn Lorraine Moss, 75, went home Sunday, April 4, 2021 at Spring River Nursing Home in Joplin, Missouri.
Marilyn was born on April 4, 1946 in Holstein, Iowa to Mason and Dorthea McCubbin. She lived and worked in Springfield, Missouri from 1965 to 1999. She began her banking career in 1978 and retired from Boatman's Bank in 1999 as Vice President of Operations. After this, she moved to the Sarcoxie area. She started working for Southwest Missouri Bank from 1999 to 2016 where she retired as the Vice President of Operations. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids teaching them all the latest games and coming up with fun crafts and new projects. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Sarcoxie, Missouri.
Marilyn was united in marriage to Aaron J. Moss Jr. on July 9, 1964. Aaron preceded her in death on April 2, 2019.
She is survived by one son Greg Moss (Dr. Melinda Moss) of Joplin, Missouri; one daughter Vicki Downing (Ruben) of Sarcoxie, Missouri; one brother Melvin McCubbin (Ann) of Ridgecrest, California; four grandkids Zach Love (Kaitlyn), David Love (Sarah), Kristie Zimmer (Dustin), Melissa Salyer (Chris); and five great- grandkids Jaxon, Nash, Andi, Haisley, and Addison.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Celebration of life memorial service will be held at a later date.
