Connie Jacqueline "Jackie" Sallee Campbell, age 74 of Nicholasville, beloved wife of 53 years to Michael J. Campbell, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at her residence. She was born March 1, 1947 in Lexington, a daughter of the late Jack and Louise Nichols Sallee. Jackie was a graduate of Bryan Station High School and a former phone operator for Lowes with 18 years of service. Jackie was an active member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church where she loved to sing and volunteer. She will be remembered as being a very bright, cheerful, and happy person who always had a beautiful smile on her face and loved every one she came in contact with. Her fun-loving, affectionate and social personality could be felt being by everyone in her presence. Jackie was also a talented seamstress and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Besides her husband, she is survived by: a son, Christopher T. (Dixie) Campbell of Nicholasville; two daughters, Hope Lynn Campbell (Christie) of Louisville, and Rachelle Campbell of Southington, CT; grandchildren, Brandon (Hannah) Plotts, Hannah Campbell, Danyal Campbell, Stirling Campbell, and Jacob Drena; great-grandchildren, Leah Plotts, Landon Plotts, Levi Plotts, and Harper Campbell; and two sisters, Vernice (Gene) Haley of Lexington, and Mildred Wilson of Lexington. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Ava and Courtney Campbell. Funeral services will be 10:30 am Friday, April 9, 2021 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Harrodsburg Road. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Thursday, April 8th at the funeral home.
