Loretta "Rhett" June Hamilton, 80, of Brook, Indiana, formerly of Lake Village, passed away at 8:58 a.m. Saturday, April 3, 2021 at George Ade Memorial Health Care of Brook.
She was born June 28, 1940 in Hobart, IN to the late Merle Donald and Goldie Elizabeth (Martin) Bellinger and was a 1958 graduate of Hobart High School.
Her marriage was to Charles Edward Hamilton on October 25, 1958 in Hobart; he preceded her in death on July 23, 2011.
Mrs. Hamilton worked in Lake Village for 40 years.
She was a long term member of the DeMotte Pentecostal Church where she was a youth leader for several years.
Loretta was a homemaker. She was Telephone Operator from 1954 until 1958.
Rhett loved to walk and take care of her cats and dogs. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She also enjoyed BINGO, puzzles, crossword puzzles and looked forward to attending church.
Surviving are her two sons, Randall Scott Hamilton of Brook and Greggory Martin Hamilton of Kentland; two brothers, Bill Bellinger (wife: Barbara) of Illinois and Edward Bellinger of Hammond, IN and two grandchildren, David Martin and Abby Summer.
Preceding her in death with her parents is two sons, Charles Donald (2007) and Russell (2001); a brother, Charles; and 5 sisters, Eileen, Betty, Sharon, Eva and Carol.
