Funeral services for Emma J. Langford, 75, Cooperstown, were held April 8 at the Evangelical Free Church in Cooperstown, with Pastor Mulvihill officiating. she died April 4, 1994, at the Griggs County Hospital in Cooperstown.
Emma Erickson was born June 19, 1918, at New England, ND, the daughter of John and Emma (Erickson) Erickson. She graduated from Cooperstown High School, then attended Hillcrest Bible School in Fergus Falls, MN. She married Warren Ole Langford in February 1942 in Cooperstown. They lived on the family farm until a few months before Ole's death in February of 1985.
She was a member of the Cooperstown Evangelical Free Church and the Free Church Women's Ministries.
Emma enjoyed reading and sewing.
Emma is survived by two daughters; Myrna Hallady of Minneapolis, MN and Carol (Scott) Fredrickson of Cooperstown; two grandchildren; two sisters, Olga (Clyde) Thomson of Northwood, ND, and Florence (Walt) Kammeyer of Soap Lake, WA; two brothers; John Edward (Anna Mae) Erickson, and Lester (Shirley) Erickson, both of Cooperstown. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Darwin, and one sister, Borghild Stromme.
