Bro. Paul M. Wilmoth, age 77 of Sparta, passed away Monday, April 5, 2021 at his home. He was born January 18, 1944 in Algood to the late Perry Morgan and Shelia Robbins Wilmoth.

He retired in 2006 from the Post Office at Tennessee Tech University after 40 years of service.

Paul was a kind, humble, generous and devoted minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ for over 60 years. He has been a member of Northeast Church of Christ for nearly 38 years and has served as a minister at the church. He earned a bachelors degree in religious education from Tennessee Bible College and has served as an Instructor of Preaching at the College for the past decade.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years: Shirley Sparkman Wilmoth; daughters: Pam (David) Isaac of Gainesboro, Christy (Jason) Brown of Cookeville, Sherri (Chris) Sparkman and Kristy (Greg) Sims; his grandchildren who he absolutely loved: Jeremy and Billy Wray, Colten and Ella Grace Brown, Gabe and Luke Sparkman, Jordan Dodson, Nick Sims and Makayla England; six great grandchildren: Aiden Carr, Riley Wray, Alexandria Wray, Jeremy Wray, Jr., Madison Wray and Rylan Wray; and by brother: Carl Wilmoth.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Mildred Joy Bowman.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Northeast Church of Christ in Cookeville with Bro. David Hill, Bro. Kerry Duke and Bro. Glenn Ramsey officiating. Interment followed in Cookeville City Cemetery.
