Dorothy Henry, 72, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2021 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice.

Dot received her education at Charles E. Perry High School. After completing her education, she worked various jobs. No job gave her more joy than the over seventeen years she worked for Clinton City Schools. At an early age, she joined Bearskin Missionary Baptist Church. She attended church there until her health no longer permitted her to attend.

Dot was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Mary Helen Monk and Donnell Henry.

A Home Going Service will be held on Sunday, April 4, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton with burial following at Bearskin Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Left to cherish Dorothy Ann's memory: Children: Tyrone Henry (Patricia), Clinton, NC, Wanda Henry, Salemburg, NC, Daniel Keith (Carolyn), Salemburg, NC, and Billy Ray Henry (Rochelle), Salemburg, NC. Rochelle held a very special place in Dorothy Ann's heart; Siblings: James Henry (Blonnie), Clinton, NC, Debbie Murphy (Willie), Salemburg, NC, Rickey Henry, Salemburg, NC, and Anthony (Bridgette), Roseboro, NC; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grand children; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. One special cousin, Larry Parker, would often visit Dot bringing her chips, drinks (Sprite), and sub sandwiches.

A walk thru will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton from 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm.
