James was born on Thursday, May 5, 1949, in Salem, IN to Johnny Woodrow Daily and Elizabeth Louise (Lee) Daily who both preceded him in death.
On December 17, 1966, at New Liberty Baptist Church in New Peakin, IN James married Carolyn S. (Feeler) Daily who survives in Deputy, IN.
James was a 1968 Henryville High School graduate and earned an Associate Degree in Business. He was a United States Army Veteran and retired from Morgan Foods after 17 years of service. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Deputy, IN where he served as head deacon, trustee, and song leader. He was an avid motorcyclist, loved to sing, and when he was younger, he enjoyed boating and skiing.
Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Carolyn S. Daily, his only son, James W. Daily of Deputy, IN, 4 grandchildren, Ashlee Daily, Duston Daily, Jonny Daily, and Sabrina Alexander, 5 great-grandchildren, Brayden Lock, Willow Lock, Abigail Daily, Karlee Ann Daily, and Isabella Alexander, 2 brothers, Wilmer (Nancy) Daily of Avondale, AZ and Ralph (Patty) Daily of Aviston, IL. James was preceded in death by 1 brother, Johnny Daily, and 1 sister, Margurett Armstrong.
