Mrs. Wilma J. Flowers Malone of West Princeton Road, Petersburg, Virginia, became absent from the body and present with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, March 1, 2021 after a lifetime battle with Sarcoidosis she fought a good fight, she has finished her course and she kept the faith.

Wilma was the youngest child born on May 22,1953 to the late Stroun A. Flowers and Lucy Roney-Flowers. She taught school at Ludwigsburg Middle School in Ludwigsburg West Germany. She was a volunteer for domestic violence crimes victims and she started a sarcoidosis support group. Wilma was successful in putting together a reference manual about the effects of Sarcoidosis.

She enjoyed traveling places such as Italy, Austria and vacationing in various places in West Germany. She was a giver from her heart. Wilma's favorite saying was to her husband and her sons "If I can't help you up the ladder, I'm surely not going to pull you off it. Life is about serving and giving, not receiving".

She loved to share the Word of God to anyone that would listen. As the caregiver for her sister Rose Ann Flowers, she enjoyed the time they shared together praising God with song. She enjoyed working in her flower garden which gave her peace.

She was preceded in death by a very devoted sister, Mary Flowers-Pulley and her three loving brothers, Stroun A. Flowers Jr., Edward Flowers (Cressie) and Hilton Parham.

She leaves to cherish her memories: a devoted husband/caregiver of 40 years, MSG (Ret) James L. Malone; her loving and devoted oldest son, MSG (Ret) Travis L. Crawley (Lashon) of Varina, VA and her youngest loving and very devoted son/ caregiver, Jermaine C. Crawley, Sr. (Mischelle Johnson) of Petersburg, VA; three step-children, Anthony Malone, Veronica Malone, Pamela Brown (Percy); grandchildren, Desmond, Dannyale, Damenique,Travis, Jermaine Jr. (Paige), Jazymne, Jerrell, Jaylin, Devynn and Marshall; step-granddaughter, Tyona Brown; thirteen great grandchildren; three sisters, Rose Ann Flowers and Irene Flowers-Burrow both of Petersburg, VA, and Alma Flowers-Cooper (Clarence) of Brooklyn, NY; one brother, Minister Alfred Flowers of Petersburg, VA; two aunts, Bernice Flowers Brothers of Philadelphia, PA and Virginia Roney-Dingle Pittsburgh, PA; one sister-in-law, Elise Parham; devoted nieces, Jessica Flowers, Evelyn Flowers and Linda Malone; devoted nephews, Hellion "Butch" Flowers and Stanley Pulley (devoted Cheryl Hundley), and her beloved nephew, Petro Flowers; many sisters in Christ among the very devoted MaShelia Grandison of Dinwiddie, VA (she introduced her to her Savior Jesus Christ and they were like two peas in a pod), Gale Butler (Isaac) of Augusta, GA, Frances Jones and Athena Jones both of Portsmouth VA, and Jackie Liburd of Cedar Hill, TX, Mary Hagans of South Chesterfield VA; five magnificent spiritual sisters in Christ, Marieta Johnson and Darieta Cotton both of Silver Springs, MD the twins that were voices of peace and love in the storm; spiritual sister, Barbara Gravely. devoted cousin, Marva Jennings -Hawkins of Abingdon MD; a very devoted loving and caring hair stylist and prayer warrior Felicia Dewitt of Hopewell, VA; a host of many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Special thanks to Nayar Hospice Nurses Zelda Petterson and LaShawn Person for all the special care given to our beloved Wilma.

Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 13, 2021 at the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA, Elder Herman Crockett, eulogist. The interment to follow at Blandford Cemetery.

In lieu of floral arrangements donations may be made to Faith and Hope C.O.G.I.C. 1800 W. Washington Street, Petersburg VA 23803 in memory of Wilma J. Flowers Malone.
