Sharon May Bitz-Lawrence entered into eternal rest Sunday, April 4, 2021 in Denver, Colorado after battling Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA). Sharon was born on September 9, 1955 to Mathias and Rose (Schwartzenberger) Bitz in Bismarck, North Dakota. She attended school in Napoleon, North Dakota graduating from high school in 1973. She continued her education and attended Red Rocks Community College where she earned an associate degree in Business and Marketing. On June 20th, 1980 she married George Lawrence in Bismarck, North Dakota. Sharon started her career with the phone company in 1974 and worked her way up through the levels of management. She retired in 2004 after 30 years as a manager. Sharon was a member of Christ on the Mountain Catholic Church for 38 years. She volunteered for Habitat for Humanity running a pumpkin patch that raised enough money to build a home every year. She was also a caregiver for Home Instead Senior Care. Sharon loved to sing, read, travel, play games, especially pinochle. She loved her family and traveled at least once a year to visit In North Dakota. She loved children's laughter, pinching and squishing their cheeks, and cuddling with them; be it her children, nieces or nephews but especially grandchildren.

Sharon was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to give her whole heart to everyone she met. She worked tirelessly to provide for those she loved; and played with her loved ones with as much vigor. There was always love and laughter in her voice; a voice often raised in song and praise. Sharon's joy for life was as infectious as her grin; which endeared her to nearly everyone she met.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 40 + years, George Lawrence, Her daughters; Alicia (Marvin) Morgan, Caitlyn (Alex) Benson; Grandchildren; John, Quinn, and Theodore. Her siblings; Hilary, Margaret, Cecilia, Vincent, Fr. Al Bitz, Sebastian, Alex, Richard, Bernadette, Willie, Monica and Marian. Sharon was the youngest of 16 children.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Mathias and Rose Bitz, a daughter, Denise Lawrence, and 3 brothers, Ferdinand, Leonard and Mathias.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 3:00 PM until 5:30 PM followed by a prayer service beginning at 5:30 PM at Christ on the Mountain Catholic Church, 13922 W Utah Ave, Lakewood, CO 80228. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Christ on the Mountain Catholic Church, 13922 W Utah Ave, Lakewood, CO 80228. Burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery Monday, April 12, 2021 at 10:00 AM.
