James Albert Davis
June 25, 1947 - March 29, 2021
James Albert Davis, 73, passed away on Monday afternoon, March 29, 2021 after arrival at Baptist Health- Richmond.

James was born on June 25, 1947 and was the son of James L. and Juanita Kirby Davis, both of whom preceded him in death. He was a retired manager from IBM/ Lexmark in Lexington, Kentucky, and was a member of the Westside Christian Church in Richmond. He played football, as well as many other sports, in high school. James served as Troopmaster for Boy Scout Troop #401, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was an avid beekeeper. After becoming a heart transplant recipient in 1993, he volunteered with the Kentucky Organ Donor Association (KODA) and participated in in the World Transplant Games swimming competition.

Survivors include: four sons, James Travis Davis (Melissa), of Lexington, Jason Brian Davis (Melissa), of Richmond, Jeremey Nathanial Davis, of Frankfort, and Jarrod Karl Davis (Sabrina), of Richmond; two daughter, Tonia Edwards (Randy), of Brookville, Indiana, and Jaime Lynnette Davis, of Kentucky; nine grandchildren, Grant Edwards, Ford Edwards, Blake Edwards, Laura Edwards, Abby Davis, Isabella Davis, Lilly Davis, Georgia Davis, and Maxwell Davis; two brothers, Charles Tony Davis (Teddy) and Leonard Wheeler Davis (Kim); and his companion, Faith Kendrick, and her daughters, Christian Lee Kendrick and Patience Elizabeth Kendrick.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Karl Edward Davis.
