Donnie Pauline Wells Powell, age 87 of Arkadelphia, formerly of Gurdon, passed from this life on Monday, October 29, 2012 at Twin Rivers Health and Rehabilitation Center in Arkadelphia. She was born on May 26, 1925 in Gurdon, the daughter of the late Grover Eugene and Lilly Patterson Wells. Pauline was a nurses aide and participated in the foster grandparent program at Ouachita Baptist University for many years. She was a charter member of Center Point Baptist Church in Gurdon. Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Powell, and her son, Bobby Allen Powell. She is survived by two daughters, Betty Hill of Gurdon and Wanda Sue (Paul) Hill of Bismarck, one son, Gifford (Stevie) Powell of Benton, one sister, Linda DeVault of Gurdon, one brother, Eugene Wells of El Dorado, thirteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at Center Point Baptist Church in Gurdon with Bro. Ollie Trout officiating. Interment will be in Southfork Cemetery.
