Jacob Malcolm Russell, 30, of Red Bud, IL passed away March 22, 2021. Jacob was born April 3rd, 1990 to Anna Black and David Russell.
He worked as a Structural Welder at Roeslein and Associates in Red Bud. After receiving a devastating prognosis a year ago Jacob made the decision to leave his job and spend his time with his family. In his free time he enjoyed being with family and spending time outdoors playing disc golf, rain or shine, 0° weather Jake was there. Jacob was an amazing father, husband, and friend. He touched the lives of many and was an all-around "good guy" who is going to be greatly missed.
Jacob is survived by his wife Kenna and three children Khloe, Skyla, and Kohen. Also surviving him are his parents David (Mary) Russell, Anna (Thomas) Black, his sister Robyn Russell Wehrly, his Grandparents; Mary Large and Ken(Gii-Chan) and Christine Saito. Along with several Aunts, Uncles, In-laws, and Cousins. He is preceded in death by his Grandfather Frank Large.
Jacob did not wish to have a memorial service but rather a Celebration of Life for Family and Friends. This will be held April 17th at Konarcik Park in Waterloo, IL with more details to come.
