Mona Lynn Russell, age 87, of Bluff City, TN went to be with The Lord on Friday, April 2, 2021 at her home. Mona was born on July 17, 1933 in Bristol, TN, a daughter of the late Charles and Alma Rutherford Broyles. She was a lifelong resident of Bristol where she was formerly employed as a seamstress with Bristol Jeans. In addition to her parents, Mona was preceded in death by her husband, James Arley Russell; sons, Ricky Russell, Donald Wayne Russell, and an infant son; sisters, Charlotte Stitt, Elizabeth (Liz) Mumpower, and Reba Watkins; brother, Bud (Chester) Broyles.
Survivors include her son, Terry Russell; sisters, Audrey Bowers, Shelia Brown, Brenda Carr, Claudine Pairgin, Elsie Phillips and husband Junior, brother, John Broyles, and six grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild all of whom she loved dearly.
A funeral service for Mrs. Russell will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Rowlette officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. prior to the service. The committal service and interment will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Crumley Cemetery. Pallbearers include Terry and Tanner Earhart, Roger Cox, Bryan Cunningham, Brad Cox, and Jimmy Cooper.
