Jason S. Franks, 47, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away at 12:04 a.m. on Friday, April 2, 2021 at his residence.
He was born on November 26, 1973 in Huntington, IN to Jerry Franks and Mary Ellen (Stahl)(Franks) Hanna.
Jason graduated in 1992 from Huntington North High School. He was a Sergeant in the United States Army. Jason retired from the Army after 21 years of service. He was a member of the VFW 2689, Huntington, IN. Jason had a great love and dedication to serving in the Army.
He is survived by his father, Jerry Franks, Huntington, IN and his mother, Mary Ellen Hanna, Fort Wayne, IN.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Sean Franks, in 2013.
Calling will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN 46750. Military honors rites will follow at 7:00 p.m.
Private Funeral Services will be held at a later date, with Interment at the Marion National Cemetery, Marion, IN.
