George F. Hill, 86. Of Clarks Summit, passed on Thursday morning at home surrounded by his family. His wife is Julianne Williams Hill. Born in Scranton, he is the son of the late George W. and Hazel Hill. He was predeceased by his first wife, Shirley and second wife Ann. George was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School, had worked and retired from Haddon Craftsmen and was the last president of GCIU, local union-97B, which he served for 25 years. He is survived by five sons, Jeff Hill, Jerry Hill, both of Scranton, Michael Ranakoski, Moscow, Steven Hill and wife Jennifer, Covington Twp., Randy Hill and wife Stefanie, Clarks Summit, three daughters, Diane Kahanic, Scranton, Lisa Auer and husband Michael, Linda Cardona and husband John Scranton, two daughters' in law Beverly Hill and Caroline Hill, one brother; Robert Hill and wife Lorraine, Scranton, 98 grand and great grandchildren, seven step children, numerous nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by three sons, George, James and Paul Hill, one son in law John Kahanic, and 12 siblings. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Msgr. Joseph G. Quinn; Pastor, on Tuesday at 10 am in the Church of St. Benedict, Newton-Ransom Boulevard with interment to follow in Cathedral Cemetery. Viewing for family and friends will be on Monday, 4 to 8 pm in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton
