Georgia Young Davis, 79, passed away Friday, April 2, 2021 at her home.
She was born Friday, February 13, 1942 in Hardeman County, daughter of the late Curtis Junior Ervin and Lillie Mae Kirby Ervin, living all of her life here. She was retired from WMHI, where she worked from 1965-2009 as a switchboard operator. She immensely enjoyed spending time with her great grandchildren and was always outside working in the yard. She was well known as an avid gardener and was Baptist in faith.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Wilson (Greg) of Bethel Springs; a brother, Roger Ervin (Tina) of Florida; a sister, Bernice Downey (Bob) of Alabama; two grandsons, Steven Grantham (Jessica) of Middleton and Shawn Grantham (Krissie) of Middleton; her great grandchildren, Haleigh, Hudson and Coden Grantham; and step great grandchildren, Ethan Wilson and Mary Grace Flanagan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a baby sister, Regina Ervin.
