Betty Ann Johnston, 80, passed away on March 31, 2021, in Irving, Texas. Burial will be at the Pattison Cemetery in Emhouse, Texas on Saturday, April 3, 2021, at 11 a.m.

Betty Ann was born on May 15, 1940, in Corsicana, Texas, to the late Johnnie Mitchell Dixon and Golden Evelyn Richardson Dixon.

She married Charles Harold Johnston, Sr. in Julesburg, Colorado, on July 29, 1958. They resided in the Dallas area until moving back to Corsicana in 1989. Betty loved her children beyond measure and words and would tell anyone that would listen just how proud she was of them. She loved traveling and was especially fond of visiting Branson, Missouri, to see Mickey Gilley.

She lived the last five and a half years at The Remington at Valley Ranch in Irving. She loved living there, playing games, working puzzles, and making friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles.

Survivors include her son, Charles Harold Johnston, Jr. and his wife, Liz; daughter, LaTanya Leigh Johnston Nance and her husband, Adam; brother, Johnny Dixon and his wife, Janice, and their children, all of Frisco; sister-in-law, who was more like a sister, Dean Mayer, of Corsicana; and other extended family members.
