Larry "Carl" Henry, 79, of Henrietta, passed away on Friday, April 02, 2021.
Graveside services will be 2:00 pm, Monday, April 5, 2021 at Hope Cemetery in Henrietta with Mr. B.D. Wynn, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Henrietta. Texas.
Carl was born on February 20, 1942 in Bluegrove, Texas to Dan and Ruth (Hager) Henry. He graduated from Midway High School where his basketball team won the Texas State Championship in 1959. They were also the State Runner-Up in 1960. He loved basketball and was very good at playing the game. Carl served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He married Mary Miller on November 19, 1963 in Waurika, Oklahoma. Carl was retired from the Texas Department of Transportation where he worked as an Engineer.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Henry; brother, Tommie Stillwell; sister, Barbara Hager.
Survivors include his two daughters, Sherry McCall and husband Billy of Flower Mound, Texas, and Amy Berend and husband Stuart of Deer Creek, Texas; grandchildren, Chase McCall, Corby Henry Berend, Tessa Berend, Hadley Berend and Autry Berend; five sisters, Donna Sue Enos of Wichita Falls, Rebecca Brockman of Beaver, Arkansas, Martha Coben of Atoka, Oklahoma, Geneva Arnold of Cape Fair, Missouri, and Vickie Stilwell of Rowlett, Texas; brother-in-law, Donald Miller of Henrietta; sister-in-law Doris Miller Davis of Wichita Falls.
