Edward Culbertson, age 82 years, passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at The Villa at West Branch with his family by his side. He lived in West Branch since 1977, formerly of Valeria, KY. He was born on January 19,1939 in Valeria, KY to Dewey and Vinnie (Lane) Culbertson. Ed married Nancy Towner in West Branch on October 22, 1960. He served in the United States Air Force and Army in the Vietnam War as a Chief Warrant Officer 2 – CW02. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking.

Ed is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Culbertson; children, Debra Nitchman, DeWayne (Annet Klacking) Culbertson and Daniel Culbertson; grandchildren, Christina (James) Grell, Jordan Nitchman, and Caileigh Nitchman; and great grandchildren, Cadence Griffith, Carter Grell, and Emma Grell. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Alena Helton, James Culbertson, Arlie Culbertson, Emory Culbertson, Milburn Culbertson, and Clarence Culbertson.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Monday, April 5, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery with veteran honors. Pastor Tom Teall will officiate.

Visitation will be held with precautions, due to the current pandemic, limiting the number of attendees at a given time.
