On January 3, 1938, the world was blessed with an angel, Ernestine Johnson. She was born in Marshall, Texas to the parentage of Buland Wilder Davis and Homer Fisher, who both preceded her in death. Ernestine received her education from H.B. Pemberton Jr. Senior High School and later worked for the Dallas Independent School District at Atwell Middle School as the pastry cook. She retired in December of 2001 after 33 years of dedicated service. Ernestine accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Pemberton Hill Church of Christ under the leadership of Joe E. Fontaine, Sr.

She met and married Rayford Lee Johnson and unto their union two children were born, Rufus J. Johnson and the late Ernest R. Johnson. She moved to Dallas, Texas where she later met and married Richard L. Johnson and to their union, four children were born.
