Born January 11, 1968, in Morgan County, W.Va., he was the son of the late John Barnabus and June Helen (Creek) Smith.
He was a graduate of Hancock High School with the class of 1986; and was employed as a forklift operator with the Lowes Distribution Center, in Hagerstown, Md.
He enjoyed hunting, shooting pool, playing cornhole, and driving his classic cars.
Eddie is survived by one sister, Debra Ann Dawson, of Great Cacapon, W.Va.; one brother, Bradley J. Smith, of Hancock; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Greg Smith, and John A. Smith.
The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, in Hancock, on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until noon. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, in the Funeral Home, with Pastor Dave Kidwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Tonoloway Primitive Baptist Cemetery, Thompson Road, Warfordsburg, Pa.
