The PGR has been requested to provide an escort and flag line for Sgt. Ryan Sparks, who was killed on Monday, March 22, 2021. Ryan passed as the result of a tragic motorcycle accident and is mourned by all who knew him.
Ryan Sparks, age 32, was an amazing young man, who never stopped serving after returning from two tours as an Airborne Ranger in Iraq. He served on the California Central Coast Veterans Cemetery Foundation board and the United Veterans Council. His exceptional work in all these areas - and more - earned him the title of Monterey County Veteran of the Year in 2019.
