Jeffrey (Jeff) Davis, 73, of Lowesville, Virginia, went home to be with his Savior on April 1, 2021.

Jeff was born on March 6, 1948 in Kingston, New York, and grew up on Oxford Road in Albany, New York. He was the son of the late Weidner E. Davis, Sr. and the late Henrietta Heitzman Davis.

In 1974, Jeff married Paularae (Paula) Reeger and they set out to live a wonderful and blessed life together. They lived in Maryland for 7 years before they moved to Glen Rock, Pennsylvania. After living in Pennsylvania for 30 years, they retired to Lowesville, Virginia.

Jeff was a special man. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it, without expecting recognition. His sense of humor could turn anyone's day into a good day. Jeff was a skilled and avid woodworker. Many friends, family and neighbors were willing recipients of his creations. No one appreciated his woodworking skills more than Paula. He was creative and always eager to use his skills to provide a beautiful home, and a well-furnished sewing studio that is the envy of many quilters. One of Jeff's proudest achievements is his service to his country. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War as a helicopter mechanic. Jeff spent his career working in Information Technology. He started his career as a programmer and worked at various accounts as a consultant. He specialized in HR and Healthcare Systems, working at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Maryland before joining the IT team at The Rouse Company in Columbia, Maryland.

After his relationship to God, family was most important to Jeff. He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 46 years, Paula. He is survived by his brothers, Dave (Bonnie), Greg (Becky), Neil (Cathy), and Paul (Janice); and his sister Judy (Chris). He leaves many cherished memories for his cousins and numerous nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly.

A private graveside service will be held at Amherst Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for the Blue Ledge Meals on Wheels. Blue Ledge, Inc. Meals on Wheels in Amherst County PO Box 1332 Amherst, VA 24521 Phone: 434 942-4864 Email: [email protected]
