Dwight is survived by his wife Linda (Perry) Smith, his sons: Jordan (Isabel) Smith and Devin (Melissa) Smith, his grandchildren: Graison Smith and Kylie Smith as well as his sister Marti June (Mag Strittmatter) Smith.
Dwight received his bachelor's degree from Michigan State University and his J.D. Law degree from John Marshall. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Services for Dwight will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at the Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Rd., Cary beginning with a visitation at 10:00 AM and concluding with a Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon, this will be followed with burial at Cary Cemetery where military honors will be accorded.
