Mrs. Abbott was born August 2, 1935, in Old Town, Maine, the daughter of Emile J. Leavitt and Alice Simard Leavitt. She was of the Catholic faith, graduate of Old Town High School and Husson College, retired travel agent and a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. Survived by two daughters, Kimberly Abbott Connor and husband Will of Charleston, S.C. and Karen Abbott Everett and husband Bill of Summerville, S.C.; one grand-daughter, Grace Connor of Charleston, S.C.; one brother, Emil Leavitt of Old Town, Maine; one sister, Valerie Boudreau of Brewer, Maine.
