Peggy Joyce Taylor, age 80, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021.
Peggy was born December 24, 1940 in Columbus, Georgia to Eldora Lindsey Davis and Travis Davis. She grew up in Columbus and was a member of the Jordan Vocational High School class of 1959. Peggy began her career with Southern Bell fresh out of High School. She also met and married the love of her life the late Mr. Jerry Taylor. Peggy was Southern Bell Proud, and was a member of Southern Bell Pioneers through all the company name changes. After losing Jerry and retiring, she moved to Panama City Beach and spent the next 25 years of her life enjoying traveling and taking her grandchildren to the "happiest place on earth" Disney World. Peggy taught her children by example to live life to the fullest as she did. She will always be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend.
Peggy's husband of 32 years Jerry L. Taylor, Sr., father Travis Davis, mother Eldora Lindsey Davis; and brother Steven Davis, preceded her in death. She is survived by son Jerry "Vohn" Taylor, Jr (Kim); and daughter Tam Walker (Robert); sisters Sue Debrabant and Carrol Faulknur; granddaughter Lindsey Martindill (Tyler), grandsons Tripp and Riley Taylor and great grandson Walker Martindill. Mrs. Taylor also leaves behind nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends to cherish her memory.
