Helen Louise Cox, age 72, of Moraine, Ohio, formerly of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Respiratory and Nursing Center of Dayton. She was born January 18, 1949 in Dayton, the daughter of Virgil and Betty (Dimatteo) Bowens.
She was a homemaker and of the Christian faith.
Helen is survived by five children, Chester (Patricia) Cox, Tina Scharenburg, Helen (Derek) Gander, Michael Cox, and Tim (Lisa) Wendel; five grandchildren, Kassandra Cox, Anthony Wycuff, Anna Gander, and Anita and Amanda Wendel; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Bob (Betty) Bowens, Jerry (Wenjuan) Bowens, and Richard Bowens; one sister, Mildred; and numerous nieces and nephews including, Joanna, Dawn Bowens, Jerry Bowens Jr., and Faith Bowens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pastor Vernon Russell "Jack" Cox on May 2, 2015; two brothers, Curtis Bowens and Ron (Becky) Bowens; one sister, Mary Gray; and both parents.
A graveside service will be 5:00 p.m. Friday, April 2 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Leesburg.
