Dorothy Jean (Barlow) Mosher, 85, of Pensacola, FL, passed from this life into her eternal home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, and joyously reunited with her loved ones who passed before her.
Jean was born in Mobile, AL, but had resided in Pensacola all of her adult life. Jean was retired from the Escambia County School Board, having been an elementary school teacher for many years, a job she thoroughly enjoyed. She also was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and loved teaching a Bible study class and a Sunday school class there, as well. She was a devoted and loving wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Clarence D. Mosher; her parents, Jesse L. Barlow and Velma C. Watford; and her youngest brother, Gary D. Barlow.
She is survived by her children, Donna (Steve) Durham, Debra (Danny) Larsen, Joyce (Mark) Little and William "Billy" Mosher; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and her brother, Robert (Virginia) Barlow.
Funeral Services for Jean will be held at 12 noon, on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at Lewis Funeral Home, Pace Chapel (4777 West Spencerfield Road, Pace, FL 32571.)
Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., prior to the services.
Burial will follow services at Barrancas National Cemetery, on board NAS Pensacola, at 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Jason Durham, Zachary Durham, Jonathan Little, Mark Little, Steve Talbot, and Andrew Smith.
The family would like to thank the caregivers and staff of The Residence for the care and love Jean received during the time she resided there.
