Mr. Edward W. "Eddie" Hodges, age 68 of Macclenny, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018. Eddie was born in Lake City and lived in Moniac as a child but spent the majority of his life in Baker County. He was a retired welder; having worked for Load King Manufacturers and Rubin Iron Works in Jacksonville. He was very involved with the "Common Ground" youth group at Christian Fellowship Temple, where he was a devoted member. Mr. Hodges loved his church family and was loved by his fellow church members. His love for God was evident in his life. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved fishing with his friends in the "Old Man's Fishing Club". He was a devoted family man and loved his animals. Eddie will be remembered as an easy going, loving man whose motto was "It is what it is". He is survived by his loving wife of forty-eight years: Adeline Hodges; his dogs: Truman, Buddy, and JoJo; his cats: Black Kitty and Prissy; several nieces, nephews, and other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents: Edward and Pearl; and sister: Penny. Funeral services will be held 3:00pm, Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Christian Fellowship Temple with Brother Gary Crummey and Pastor David Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Canaday Cemetery
