Mary Mina Sharp of Baton Rouge, LA passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021 at her home after a 3-year battle with ovarian cancer.

Mary was born Nov. 20, 1967 in Yazoo City, MS to David Sharp and Linda Hill. She was a dedicated Geographic Information System professional supporting disaster recovery operations throughout the US. Mary was a caring soul who always reached out when she saw anyone in need. She loved adventure and met every challenge head on. Mary was an equestrian, motorcycle rider, truck driver, radio disc jockey, musician, and a friend to all who met her. Most of all, Mary loved to watch her daughter, Simone, perform on stage as an actress, ballet dancer, and singer.

Survivors include her mother, Linda Hill of Yazoo City; stepmother, Deborah Birdno (Freddie) of Richland; daughter, Simone Sharp of Baton Rouge; sisters Tammy (Craig) Cole of Huntsville, TX, Angela Johnson of Yazoo City, Mitzi (Don) Creekmore of Meridian, Heather (Josh) Rock of D'Lo; brothers Fred (Destany) Sharp of Braxton, Stacy Blackwell of Richland, and Patrick Hill of New York; as well as beloved aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, David Sharp of Braxton and stepfather, Patrick Hill of Yazoo City.
