Miguel A. Garcia Ventura was surrounded by family as he passed through the gates of heaven on March 28, 2021, to join his beloved family and friends who had gone before him.

He was the loving husband of Evangelina (Avila) Garcia.

Born in St. Croix, Virgin Islands, he was a son of the late Luis Garcia Ventura and Maria (Serrano) Garcia.

He was employed by Department of Public Works in St. Croix, Virgin Islands.

Miguel was a member of Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal M.I.

A true fighter with a giant spirit to match Miguel was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather; his friendly personality, caring nature and love of his family will be greatly missed.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children: Maricela Rivera, wife of Jose Luis Rivera, Veronica Miranda, wife of Steve Miranda, Jessica Perez Garcia, wife of Eliezer Perez and his son at heart, David Camacho and seven siblings: Jose Luis Garcia, husband of Ana Garcia, Freddy Garcia, husband of Debra Swanston, Elba Santiago, wife of Felix Santiago, Rusmalda Lopez, wife of Alfred Lopez, Luisa Garcia, Orlando Garcia, husband of Marta Garcia and Juan Garcia, husband of Natividad Garcia. Seven grandchildren: Jose L. Rivera, Jr., Eduardo Rivera, Jadiel Miguel Perez, Jahziel Eli Perez, Victoria Miranda, Michael A. Miranda and Eliah J. Perez and Eleven nieces and seven nephews,; Michelle Garcia, Glendaly Garcia, Denisse Garcia, Clarimar Garcia, Jacquieline Gonzalez, Stephanie Garcia, Alejandra Plaskett, Janelly Garcia, Evelisse Santiago, Mileydees Quintero, Jaimie Garcia, Jose Luis Garcia, Jr., Alfred Lopez, Jr., Carlos Ivan Santiago, Jr., Justin Garcia, Juan Garcia, Jr., David Garcia, Jr. and Kevin Garcia, also survive him.

A viewing will be held Monday, April 5, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. with services to follow at 12 p.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be at Laureldale Cemetery.
