Frances Ann Collins was born February 15, 1948, in Leslie, Arkansas, to Oles and Mattie (Delk) Passmore and passed away peacefully at her home on March 31, 2021, at the age of 73. She was united in marriage to Elmer Roy "Leroy" Collins on December 19, 1964, and to this union, four children were born.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Roy "Leroy" Collins; her parents, Oles and Mattie Passmore; daughter, Karen Collins; brother, Roy Passmore; sister-in-law, Sharon Passmore; brothers-in-law, Bill, Don, Gerald, Bobby Dean Collins, and Eddie Kemper.
Frances is survived by her sons, Darrell Collins and wife Faith, Darren Collins and wife Heidi all of Mountain View, MO; daughter, Beverly Collins of Mountain View, MO; brother, Leon Passmore and wife Ruby of Rushville, IL; brother-in-law, Elza Collins and wife Carol of Mt. Sterling, IL; sisters-in-law, Shirley Kemper of Mt. Sterling, IL, Anna Goudschaal of Ashland, MO, Sharon Hillyer and husband Dennis of Mt. Sterling, IL, Judy Phelps and husband Robert of Cairo, GA, Bobbie Collins of Mt. Sterling, IL and Freda Collins of Mt. Sterling, IL; five grandchildren, Baliey Strosnider, Brodie Collins, Amber Collins, Jake Collins, Aaron Stubbs; and a host of other grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was a hardworking woman, a caretaker, who loved to crochet, cook for others, and being with her family. She is deeply loved and will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri, with Brad Strosnider officiating. Visitation will be Friday, April 2, 2021, from 6-8:00 p.m. also at the chapel. Interment will be in Forest Dell Cemetery, Mountain View, Missouri.
