Services for Olive Lorene Hargett, 74, Baldwin, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home in Baldwin, with the Rev. Kirby C. Hayes officiating. Burial will be in Prairie City Cemetery, Baldwin.
Mrs. Hargett died Tuesday at her home.
She was born Feb. 11, 1917, in Swedeberg, Mo. She grew up and attended schools in Swedeberg and Richland, Mo. She later lived in Salisbury, Mo., and moved to Baldwin in 1958.
Mrs. Hargett was a machine operator at Packer Plastics in Lawrence for several years and also worked at several Baldwin restaurants and cafes as a cook and waitress. She was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing and gardening.
She married James Franklin Hargett on Nov. 6, 1937, in Waynesville, Mo. He died June 15, 1978.
Survivors include four sons, James Jr., Roy Richard and Dallas Rae, all of Baldwin, and Kenneth Leon, Lawrence; four daughters, Betty Jane Porter, Salisbury, Mo., Marjorie Louise Cron, Lawrence, Lois Berniece Howell, Denver, and Edith Lorene Murray, Baldwin; her mother, Ruby Miller, Richland, Mo., a sister, Parsena Oliver, Breckenridge, Mo.; four brothers, Robert, Floyd, David and Edward Miller, all of Richland, Mo.; 21 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
