He resided near his birthplace until 1905 when he moved in a covered wagon to Colorado near Ramah, where he homesteaded. In 1910, he was united in marriage to Thyra A. Lind. To this union were born six children: Glenn, Victor, Ben, Millard, Hildegarde, and Ansel.
He took an active part in the Farmers Union at Simla, Colorado. He helped in the building of the Evangelical Church in Simla by giving of his time and money. In 1921 he united with the Evangelical Church by letter from the Friends Church and remained a member until his departing from this life.
Forty-four years were spent on the original homestead following which he moved to Colorado Springs. His long-suffering due to illness revealed the fruits of the Spirit as mentioned in Gal. 5:22 "But the fruit of the Sprit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and Temperance."
He is survived by his wife, Thyra, daughter Hildegarde, of Colorado Springs; his sons, Victor and Ben of Colorado Springs; Glenn, Millard and Ansel of Ramah; six grandchildren; two brothers, Guy E. Lamm of Matheson, and Orville Lamm of California; one sister, Jane A. Lamm of Simla, and one half-brother, Elmer Lamm, of California.
Funeral services were conducted from the Swan funeral home in Colorado Springs last Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. The Rev. Marvin Hudson officiated. Clifford Brown of Colorado Springs sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," "Beyond the Sunset," "What a Friend We Have in Jesus," and "Unclouded Day."Pallbearers were Richard Churchwell, Orville Shelton, Milton Lamm, Robert Lamm, Billy Ray Lamm, and Guy Lamm, Jr. Honorary pallbearers were Aud Shelton, Green Christian, Tom Gammon, Tom Eppler, Ralph DeBord and Oren Hartsel.
Mr. Lamm was laid to rest in the Colorado Memorial Shrine cemetery of Colorado Springs;
