Evelyn Lee, 67, of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 27, 2020. She was born August 15, 1953 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Evelyn attended Red Bank High School and went on to become a talented nurse at Miller Eye Center. She cared for hundreds of people during her twenty-eight years of service at Erlanger Hospital. As much as she loved her work, her children were her greatest love.

She attended Gospel Way Baptist Church and Parkway Baptist. Evelyn had a true servant's heart, applying the teachings of Jesus throughout every area of her life. Loyalty was one of her most marked traits, and she would do anything for those she loved. She was fun and vivacious, and she will be missed by everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mary Sidowey and Clyde Edgar Lee, and grandparents Clyde and Ruby Lee and Paul and Hazel Nichols.

She is survived by her sons, Matthew Pickett and Jon (April) Pickett, stepfather, Bill Sidowey, sister, Beverly (Mark) Bright, stepsisters, Vicki (Tommy) Orr and Cathy (Ron) Seymour, grandchildren Isabella and Maddie Pickett, and Jackson, Campbell, Truett, and Cooper Pickett. She is also survived by numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Frank Kelly officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens South.
