He was born March 29, 1944, in Dalmatia, a son of the late Harvey Schadel and Rema (Lenker) Lyter.
Cois was married to Carol (Miller) Schadel for 52 years.
He retired as an truck driver from Roadway Express of Sunbury.
He was a life member of the Herndon and Dalmatia fire companies, and a social member of the Bull's Eye Hunting Camp.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Schadel; daughters, Michelle Zerbe and her husband Dave of Danville, and Tricia Helman and her husband Carl of Newville; grandchildren, Dereck Enders, Kiersten Zerbe, Eddie Helman, and Zach Zerbe; brother, Roger Schadel of Halifax; and a sister, Judy Paul of Middletown.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Rita Krakowski.
Private graveside services were held in Stone Valley "Hickory Corners" Church Cemetery.
