He was born March 17, 1944 in Eagle Rock, MO, the son of Norman Finas and Maude Mae {Bradford} Ball. On February 28, 1967 in Kansas City, KS he was united in marriage to Charlene "Joy" Hoke who survives. Also surviving are one son, Andy Ball and his wife Marcey of Rogers, AR; two daughters, Michelle Ozbun and her husband Rodney of Eagle Rock, MO and Annette DeMaris and her husband Charles of Mattapoisett, MA; one sister, Martha Jean Brashear of Davis, CA; four grandchildren, Nikki Nance and her husband Darren, Linzie Dotson and her husband Russell, Lane Ozbun, Lexi Steele and her husband Jaden and two great grandchildren, Rylie Nance and Brantley Dotson.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two sisters, Glenna Carson and Freda Northington and one grandson, Tyler Ball.
Dwayne grew up in Eagle Rock. After graduating from Cassville High School in 1962 he attended Draughon Business College. From November 7, 1963 until November 5, 1965 he served in the United States Army as Military Police. Upon returning, he moved to Kansas City and was employed by the Kansas City Police Department for five years. There he met the love of his life, Joy. In 1971 they moved to Texas where he became a State Trooper, returning to Eagle Rock in 1984. Before retiring he was employed by Walmart in the security department. His long illness was due to cancer and is now at home with his Lord. He enjoyed horses and gardening and especially loved his grandkids and great grandkids.
Services were held on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Roaring River Baptist Church in Eagle Rock, MO. Pastor Scott Hill and Pastor Tony Ball conducted the services. Burial at Munsey Cemetery in Eagle Rock, MO.
