Jeff was the son of John Lee "Red" Davis Sr and Yvonne Slappy Davis. He was educated in the Houston County School System. He was employed with the Bluebird Bus Body Company in Fort Valley, Georgia for a number of years. He later became a self-employed Carpenter/Contractor building houses, buildings and putting together anything for family and friends. He joined the Davis Chapel AME Church in Henderson, Georgia at a young age and was Ordained as a Deacon. He later moved to North Carolina and joined the Faith Crossroads Ministries in Fayetteville, where he served on the Deacon Board until being Ordained as a Minister. He became Pastor of Faith Crossroads in 2014.
Jeff was married to Semettress Vone Jones Davis on February 27, 1999. He was married to Dr. Stacy Marie Kinchen Stewart Davis on June 13, 2009. He was preceded in death by his mother, Yvonne Davis on January 11, 2021 and his oldest brother, Carlisle Davis Sr on December 14, 2020.
