Gloria Culbertson Jackson, age 76, passed away at 6:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 30 at St. Francis Medical Center, Cape Girardeau, MO.

She was born September 25, 1944 in Sikeston, MO, the daughter of Earl and Ellen Culbertson. She graduated from New Madrid County High School in 1962, got a degree in Education from UMSL, and a Masters degree in Business Education from Southeast Missouri State University. Her professional life she worked as a secretary to the superintendent of Normandy Schools in St. Louis, MO, as a business teacher at the Sikeston Area Career and Technology Center, and most recently was a Mary Kay Cosmetics Regional Director of sales for 35 years. She participated in community charitable and civic organizations, especially Altrusa where she served for many years including Backpacks for Kids, teacher for Project Charlie, and President for 3 years. She was a volunteer at First United Methodist Church, the Sikeston Depot Museum, and a board member of the Sikeston Regional Diagnostic Center. She also loved to travel and shop.

She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Ellen Culbertson and by her husband Gerald Jackson.

She is survived by her son Tim Kellick (Julie), St. Peters, MO, daughter Tina Lynn Kellick, Sikeston, MO, and stepdaughter Debbie Jackson Monje (Phil), House Springs, MO; Two brothers, Dan Culbertson of Lillian, AL, and Bill Culbertson of St. Peters, MO; 2 grandchildren Ben Kellick, St. Louis, MO and Claire Kellick, St. Peters, MO; 2 step grandchildren, Lillie Monje and Mollie Monje, House Springs, MO.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 3rd from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston followed by funeral services at 3:00 pm. Rev. Jennifer Moxley, associate pastor of First United Methodist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid, MO.

Pallbearers will be Bill Culbertson, Mike Culbertson, Scott Henderson, John Munger, Lew Polivick, and Stan Polivick.

Honorary pallbearers are Lloyd Diamond and Phil Monje.
