Mary Lou was a CNA at Jackson County Nursing Home and worked Home Health. She was a member of Mt. Carbon Church of God, Murphysboro, IL. Mary Lou had a green thumb and loved her flowers. She liked to pass time reading when she was not spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
Mary Lou is survived by her husband, Troy L. Compton of Murphysboro, IL, her children; Michael (Betty) of Murphysboro, IL, Tina (Rick) of Murphysboro, IL, Troy (Jody) of Dowell, IL, Joyce (Steve) of Willisville, IL, and Adam (Jessica) of Ava, IL, eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, two grandsons: Trevor and Curtis, three brothers and one sister, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary & Lawrence Compton.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, IL.
Burial to follow at Ava Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 – 7pm, Friday, April 2, 2021, and Saturday from 7:30 am until the hour of service at Wilson's Funeral Home.
Due to executive order, face masks must be worn, and social guidelines must be followed.
